Logo Design Project 2018

I was commissioned to design their logo, and both I and the client were very pleased with the final outcome. The insurance company wanted a no nonsense, established and serious logo, that could also represent freedom from financial hardships.

In my research, I found that both a shield and symbolic imagery based around a winged animal would be great for this project. The reasoning here would be that a shield suggest strength and a safe guarded feeling, and the winged animal would connote a sense of freedom.

Serif fonts are great for this kind of design, and that’s because serif fonts are the most classic of the bunch; and when used they tell an audience that the design is an established and traditional company they can trust.

I incorporated a shield design with wings in a very simple and memorable design. The shield represents safety, strength and security, which are all great traits for an insurance company. The wings represent longevity and freedom. Also horizontal lines are calming and this will add into the reassurance and safety element of the design.
