Logo Design Project 2018
2018 was a somewhat busy year for me, and one of the projects that I myself and the client would end up being highly content with, was the logo re-brand for an art class True Art. The original logo had become outdated with regard to where the brand was at that time, and so a total revamp was in order for the company to flourish into the coming years.
Through discussions with the client prior to starting the project, we had established several faults in the current logo that would then lead me onto defining the correct path for the project. As with all logo designprojects, the research phase is something that I consider to be essential to the final success of the logo, and so I really did not want to underestimate the importance of this first initial step.

Sans serif fonts are clean, modern, and engaging. They’re used by brands who want to demonstrate a straight-forward, simple, and no-nonsense attitude.
When it comes to typography in logo design, sans serif solutions indicate a sense of honesty and sensibility. The simple, yet effective nature of sans serif fonts make them perfect for brands who want to put clarity first when designing their company logo. Often this can be linked to businesses that are focused on “forward-thinking” ideals. Coupled with the fact that sans serif fonts are modern, Aileron with it’s clean and appealing nature seemed like the right fit.
After cycling through various concepts I finally landed on the notion of combining the initials of the brand, that being ‘T’ and ‘A’, and working into the logo symbol a minimal representation of an artists’ easel.
